This is our next post in the men’s retreat series that is leading up to our men’s leadership this September. The previous blog covered the importance of having a tribe of like-minded men, a camaraderie with a group of guys with similar goals and aspirations. This blog is going to focus on the importance of having dreams and goals. Let’s really focus in on what is truly important, having a life of meaning and purpose. That’s what these goals and dreams we create in our lives provide.
Picture this: it’s 30-40 years down the road, and your facing what we all will inevitably face. You’re looking back at your life…and what are you picturing? Are you thinking about the fights you had with your spouse over who did or didn’t do the dishes? Are you remembering the project at work that you spent 80 hours perfecting? Or are you thinking about your family, your legacy, and the impact you might have left on the world?
For me, that is what is a constant vision in my mind. What impact am I leaving in this world? What was my life’s purpose? Because, in the end, that is truly one of the most important things we can have in our life.
